At Homodeus, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you use our services, we may collect:
- Email address — when you make a purchase, create an account, or sign in with Google or Facebook
- Name and profile picture — if you sign in via Google or Facebook Login, we receive your public profile name and email from those platforms
- Facebook User ID — if you sign in with Facebook, we receive a unique ID from Meta to identify your account
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details
- License key usage — to validate purchases and prevent fraud
- Discord account — if you connect via our Discord community
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Deliver digital products and license keys after purchase
- Authenticate your account via email/password, Google, or Facebook Login
- Send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, access codes)
- Provide customer support
- Send product updates — you can opt out at any time by contacting us
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized access
3. Facebook Login & Meta Data
If you choose to sign in with Facebook, Homodeus receives your email address and public profile (name) from Meta. We use this solely to create and identify your Homodeus account. We do not share your Facebook data with third parties, use it for advertising, or store it beyond what is necessary to maintain your account.
Homodeus does not post to Facebook on your behalf or access any data beyond email and public_profile.
4. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your Homodeus account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
- In-app: Sign in to My Account → scroll to Danger Zone → click "Delete My Account"
- By email: Send a deletion request to support@homodeus.ca with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
If you signed in with Facebook and want to revoke access, you can also remove Homodeus from your Facebook apps at facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites. This triggers automatic deletion of your associated data from our systems within 30 days.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure hosted on AWS. We retain your email and purchase history to allow you to access your purchased files through our customer portal. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Meta (Facebook Login) — user authentication
- Google (Google Sign-In) — user authentication
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Cloudflare — website hosting and CDN
- Discord — community platform
7. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Meta Pixel on our site is used solely for measuring the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns and does not share your personal data with Meta beyond standard analytics.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and all associated data, opt out of marketing communications at any time, and withdraw consent for third-party login providers at any time through those platforms.
9. Children's Privacy
Homodeus services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
